The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal to deliver vehicle registration certificate, vehicle number plates to applicants under a ‘Speed Post’ courier service, the state information office said.
"When registering a vehicle, in order to obtain them under the existing system, one has to come to the department spending considerable time and expense. There seems to be some delay in sending new driver's licenses by registered mail to applicants," it said.
"Hence, the Cabinet has approved the proposal submitted by Transport Minister to implement a suitable program in collaboration with the Postal Department to deliver them to an applicant’s home under the express courier service of the Postal Department."
